A MEREWETHER man was taken to hospital yesterday after a fight with security guards outside a Hamilton hotel, police said.

The 39-year-old became involved in a fight with guards about 2am after he was removed from the Sydney Junction Hotel, police said.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital then discharged.
