HOTEL FOR DOGS(PG, 100 minutes) On general releaseOrphaned siblings and cute dog must stick together despite the odds: no-dog policy, hair-metal foster parents (Lisa Kudrow is brilliant here) and bad men from the pound (boo! hiss!). An abandoned hotel seems to be the answer and soon they are rescuing strays from all over town. Orphans and strays gotta stick together and family is what you make it - warning, this film tends towards saccharine at times. Formulaic family fare that's appealing enough; the kid brother's flair for scientific gadgets is excuse for propelling the plot towards its inevitable "who let the dogs out?" ending.
