Hotel Decides To Have A Beer For Ricki

PATRONS of the Belmont Hotel are being urged to do their bit to help out tonight by having a beer.

A percentage of the night's takings will go towards helping to pay the mounting medical bills of Belmont's Ricki Bell who was badly injured after falling from a moving car.

Ms Bell is still undergoing treatment for head injuries suffered after the fall on Melbourne Cup Day last year. She also still faces months of costly rehabilitation sessions.

Staff will also have collection tins set up in the bar area.
